| For the more adventurous traveller, peak trekking
is another interesting and exciting experience. Eighteen peaks are
available for trekking, however permits must be obtained by our
registered company from Nepal Mountaineering Association. One needs
to have much trekking experience to attempt any of the following
peaks.

Some of the major small peaks opened for climbing
are as follows:
1. MERA PEAK (6654 m)
Mera Peak is the highest and the most popular.
The trek from Lukla, passing through Sherpa villages, will provide
you with superb mountain scenery and abundant wildlife including
the habitat of the legendary "Yeti".

2. ISLAND PEAK ( IMJATSE 6189 m)
You enter the magnificent Chhukung valley, a land of high altitude,
lakes and icy glaciers. You are in fine company as Tenzing Sherpa
( Successful climber of Everest) first climbed this peak. Clear
views of Everest, Makalu, Lotse and Ammadablam await you. This is
an easy peak climb

and vibrant Gurung villages is pure excitement.

7. NAYA KANGA (GANJALA CHULU 5844 m)
The peak lies in the Langtang area and is close to Kathmandu.
Towering over the South Langtang valley and the Holy Lakes of Gosainkund,
its fine ridge system provides superb climbing. This is the only
trekking peak in the Langtang area.
